On the Optimal Threshold for Diffusion Based Molecular Communication System

This paper illustrates the calculation of the optimal value of the Threshold for the diffusion based molecular communication system. A system model in the 3-D cartesian space is taken into consideration wherein the signal information bits are transmitted as number of molecules from the Transmitter nanomachine. Out of transmitted molecules, only few number of molecules are received in the receiver through Brownian motion and assumed to exhibit Poisson's Distribution. The error probability for this system is derieved and the optimal value of threshold is calulated by minimizing the error probability.
