This paper presents an ultra-thin wideband 3-D frequency selective rasorber (FSR) based on ferrite absorber and slow-wave structure. The thickness is reduced by using a slow wave structure, which also produces a pass-band within the absorption band provided by ferrite absorber. With the help of a series LC circuit in front of the ferrite absorber, the losses from the ferrite absorber can be by- passed in the pass-band, resulting transmission window with very low insertion loss. The thickness of this FSR is less than lambda(c)/11 at the center resonant frequency. This present structure is suitable for applications below 1 GHz, thought it may be scaled to other frequency bands.
