Geometrically Stochastic Finite Difference Time Domain Method

This paper presents a geometrically stochastic finite difference time domain (GS-FDTD) method which inserts the geometrical uncertainty directly into the FDTD method by using the delta method approximation. 1D GS-FDTD equations are derived and used to assess the impact of tissue size variation in a layered biological tissue as a bioelectromagnetic simulation example. The results are compared to the Monte Carlo results as a benchmark, and show very good agreement.
