Strategy For Attacking Missile Against Defender Aircraft

In the attacker-defender-target three players scenario, the target and the defender forme the defended system against the attacker. In order to win the game, the attacker needs to evade the defender and capture the target. In this paper, an evasion and pursuit guidance law is presented for the attacker. The boundaries for the attacker evading the defender and pursuing the target are derived by using the differential game theory. The guidance law is divided into two phase. In the first phase, the attacker evades from the defender by using the optimal evasion guidance law, until the zero-effort-miss distance between the attacker and the target reaches the boundary of the feasible area, in which the attacker can pursue the target. After phase one, the attacker changes optimal evasion guidance law to the optimal pursuit guidance law to capture the target. The two phase guidance law is verified by nonlinear simulation, and is compared with the optimal pursuit guidance law, and the result shows that the designed guidance law can guarantee the attacker evade the defender and capture the target.
