摘要

•Photochromic vinylidene-naphthofurans were embedded in polyacrylate polymers along with an alcohol and an acid.•Under UV exposure these uncolored materials develop violet/green colorations at room temperature.•The polymer composition was optimized to maximize the color intensity.•The decoloration occurs at room temperature, in the dark, in less than 5 min.
