摘要
Increased prevalence of opioid use disorder (OUD) in pregnancy (1) underlines the importance of optimizing outcomes. Prior studies demonstrate benefits of breastfeeding for mothers with OUD and may reduce the severity of Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS) in infants (2). Only low levels of methadone and buprenorphine are transferred to breast milk (3).
