•We use markers to pick out the appropriate patients who have the potential to achieve seroconversion by sticking to antiviral therapy, that is very important to reach the target of functional cure or even clinical cure.•Though some patients achieved HBsAg conversation, their intrahepatic cell would still exist viral.•Whether those patients achieved “Loss of serum HBsAg” can be safely discontinued or not remains to be researched deeply.
