摘要
•Maternal Th1, Th2 and Th1:Th2 ratio at 28 weeks gestation, were not associated with infant birthweight, birth length or head circumference.•Higher concentrations of vascular endothelial growth factor D (VEGF-D) are predictive of a lower birthweight and length.•Higher concentrations of C-Reactive Protein (CRP), a pro-inflammatory marker, were associated with a lower birthweight.•A longer gestational age was predicted by higher concentrations of monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) and interleukin 2 (IL-2).•Further research is required to aid understanding of the importance of these findings.
