摘要
•About 5% of small renal masses (SRMs) on active surveillance may “disappear.”•“Disappearing” SRMs have at least 1 surveillance imaging study showing no lesion.•Heterogenous imaging studies, particularly ultrasound, explain many disappearances.•Often these “disappearances” are transient and may reappear on axial imaging.•Disappearing SRMs do not have compromised survival and do not need reflex imaging.
