摘要

•A class of novel quartic H-Bézier basis functions is presented.•A generalized quartic H-Bézier curves with local shape parameters are constructed.•Two methods of design for developable quartic H-Bézier surfaces are proposed.•The geometric continuity conditions of the proposed curves and surfaces are obtained respectively.
