A metal organic framework-ultrafiltration hybrid system for removing selected pharmaceuticals and natural organic matter

•A metal organic framework-ultrafiltration hybrid system was investigated for the removal of pharmaceuticals.•MOF-UF system showed higher removal and low flux decline than PAC-UF system.•The effect of natural organic matter on fouling was evaluated by using a resistance-in-series model.
