Aim This brief report outlines the necessary research and changes to policy and practice in Australian residential aged care facilities to achieve best practice for antipsychotic use. Conclusion Experts concur that change is required in antipsychotic use. New findings provide the impetus for further research and robust policy regarding evaluation of antipsychotic use.
