摘要
•A novel type-II heterojunction photocatalyst of InVO4/ZnFe2O4 composite has been synthesized.•The additon of ZnFe2O4 provide a larger surface area and a more positive zeta potential, leading to excellent adsorption capacity.•The heterojunction between InVO4 and ZnFe2O4 promotes the separation of electron-hole pairs.•The synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis could lead to the removal of organic pollutants more effectively.•The magnetically separable InVO4/ZnFe2O4 composites provide a promising candidate for the removal of dyes from wastewater.
