•MEPCMs with high uniformity were achieved using a co-flowing microfluidic method.•MEPCM/GO suspensions achieved good stability through steric hindrance of MEPCMs.•Optimal thermal properties were achieved by increasing MEPCM and GO concentrations.•Suspension viscosity depended on MEPCM microparticles rather than GO nanoplatelets.
