Super-resolution enhancement of Sentinel-2 image for retrieving LAI and chlorophyll content of summer corn

•An efficient algorithms is developrd for Sentinel-2 images super-resolution enhancement.•Retrieving summer corn canopy LAI, LCC and CCC using empirical model and physical model, and improving the retrieval accuracy by enhanced Sentinel-2 images.•The band order combination has important influence on retrieval of LAI, LCC and CCC.
