Reinforcement of continuous fibers for extruded wood-flour/HDPE composites: Effects of fiber type and amount

•Continuous-fiber reinforced WPCs were prepared in plate profiles using an extruder with a special die.•The continuous fibers significantly improved the mechanical strength and toughness of wood-flour/HDPE composites.•The damping ratio of the composites was used to analyze their interfacial bonding.
