Low-complexity Energy-aware Relay Selection for Two-way AF Relaying Networks

Energy efficiency is among the main considerations in the design of modern wireless networks. In this letter, we propose a low-complexity energy efficient relay selection criterion for two-way amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying networks with guaranteed quality of service (QoS). It is shown that the selection criterion can be cast as the harmonic mean of the absolute values of the channel coefficients between the two sources and the relays. Simulation results highlight the performance of the proposed relay selection policy compared with conventional ones.
