摘要
•Type of Research: This was a single-center, retrospective cohort study.•Key Findings: A total of 36 patients with chronic aortic type B dissection were followed up for 5 to 151 months (mean 57 months) after successful endovascular closure of the primary tear. Twenty-five percent of the patients required a second or third intervention in the follow-up. There was only one death due to rupture in a patient who refused a second procedure.•Take-home Message: Chronic type B aortic dissections can be successfully treated by the coverage of the proximal tear with an endograft. Patients shall be followed up carefully, and 25% of them will require one or more additional procedures to achieve a good result.
