摘要

•Four novel helical and non-helical dinuclear zinc(II) complexes have been prepared.•Structures of the complexes were determined by single crystal X-ray analyses.•The complexes were characterized by spectroscopic methods and DFT calculations.•The structural characteristics reflect the solid-state spectral behaviours.
