•25% K doped Ba4Ca2Nb2O11 (BKCN 25) perovskite was synthesized by Solid-state method via ball milling.•Densification of BKCN 25 was improved by using spark plasma sintering technique.•Spark plasma sintered BKCN 25 exhibited better densification and higher conductivity.
