•The SLM-processed CP Ti, Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-13Nb-13Zr have been compared for the first time.•The SLM-fabricated Ti-13Nb-13Zr shows the highest tensile strength/elastic modulus ratio.•The SLM-processed Ti-13Nb-13Zr exhibit higher strain-controlled fatigue strength.•The SLM-processed Ti-13Nb-13Zr shows the highest corrosion potential.
