摘要
In this work, we provide an alternative way to modulate the type of major reactive oxygen species produced during the photocatalytic process. Polar molecular 4-carboxythiophenolate anion (4CBT) modification onto BiOBr could promote the formation of H2O2, which is absent in pure BiOBr suspensions. The reason is the polar surface induced by 4CBT modification, which suppresses the excitonic effect and promotes exciton dissociation into free electrons and holes.
