A new gastro-intestinal mathematical model to study drug bioavailability.

•An advanced gastro-intestinal phenomenological-model is presented.•The dynamics and reaction kinetics of five different compartment are simulated.•The model is trained with experimental data regarding the ketoprofen and paracetamol administration.•The model shows a good capacity of predicting the blood concentration.•The model is able to account for the food-drug interaction.
