摘要

•Tri calcium phosphate (β-TCP) is a synthetic ceramic for bone grafting.•We report that human macrophages and osteoclasts can resorb β-TCP.•Mouse macrophages are not capable to resorb the biomaterial.•Macrophages and osteoclast can produce carbonic anhydrase which dissolves the mineral.
