摘要
•HbA1c, but not glycated albumin (GA), show low in patients with hemolysis.•Erythrocyte creatine (EC) is a hemolytic indicator that reflects the erythrocyte age.•We created a formula for IFCC-HbA1c (iA1c) adjusted with EC (ECadj-iA1c).•GA/ECadj-iA1c ratio was not significantly increased with the degree of hemolysis.•ECadj-iA1c might accurately reflect glycemic control in patients with hemolysis.
