Leveraging Cache Management Hardware for Practical Defense Against Cache Timing Channel Attacks

Sensitive information leakage through shared hardware structures is becoming a growing security concern. In this article, we propose a practical protection framework against cache timing channel attacks by leveraging commercial off-the-shelf hardware support in last level caches for cache monitoring and partitioning.
