Cardiac changes in epileptic baboons with high-frequency microburst VNS therapy: A pilot study.

•This study demonstrates interictal autonomic changes in the epileptic baboon.•Heart Rate Variability is also altered and differentially affected by VNS Therapy.•Furthermore, QT-intervals were prolonged in both epileptic baboons.•Further directions include evaluation of a larger sample size of epileptic and control baboons.
