Disaster And Emergency Preparedness For Early Learning Providers: A Pilot Assessment And Training Workshop

Purpose: The 2015 Save the Children report identified our state as one of several nationally not meeting minimum requirements for disaster preparedness in child care settings. Re-authorization of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act requires states to establish disaster preparedness training for child care providers. Our state lacks available training. Our initiative partnered with Child Care Network (CCN) to pilot a new workshop at their annual conference.
