Lung cancers associated with cystic airspaces: CT features and Pathologic correlation

•Cystic airspaces is a unique radiologic manifestation of lung cancer.•Morphologic features of cystic lung cancer are associated with tumor invasiveness.•Cystic airspace with nodule is the most aggressive one out of four patterns.•No differences in EGFR alterations were found between the four LCCA patterns.
