摘要

•Malignancy is rarely, found upon excision of enlarging, biopsy-proven, uncomplicated fibroadenomas.•Biopsy proven uncomplicated fibroadenomas can be safely managed conservatively, thereby obviating surgical excision.•Atypical imaging appearance or atypia associated with fibroadenoma on core biopsy pathology, warrants surgical excision.
