摘要
Quantum dot cellular automata are a unique technology that helps investigators develop different digital circuits. However, there is a lack of general credence of digital structures. Therefore, designing such digital circuits has become essential in order to ensure the authenticity through different security elements such as a multiplexer, which helps in secure message communication as a cryptographic element in order to reserve a clock cycle or to adapt the channel separation track and has also been used to design many other useful circuits. This paper presents novel and effective structures of 2:1, 4:1 and 8:1 multiplexers without any cross-over in quantum dot cellular automata, which is advantageous in data communication. The three presented multiplexers have been compared with a number of the latest structures in terms of cell count, cell area, speed, latency, complexity and so on, and the results reveal substantial enhancements. Further, simulations using the QCA Designer and QCA Pro software programs indicate that the presented multiplexer structures are entirely robust and viable at high temperature/frequency and can be used as a cryptographic element in secure message communication.
