Unacylated Ghrelin is Correlated with the Decline of Bone Mineral Density after Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in Obese Chinese with Type 2 Diabetes

Both serum levels of obestatin and UAG increased and BMD decreased gradually after RYGB in Chinese patients with obesity and T2D.Fluctuation in UAG was associated with lower BMD independent traditional risk factors and the mechanisms responsible for these physiopathological changes.We might explore a new target and to develop effective drugs for bone metabolic abnormalities after bariatric surgery.
