摘要

•Genotypic properties of P.aeruginosa strains caused UTI were assessed using MLVA.•Based on MLVA method, 61 various genotypes of P. aeruginosa were identified.•MLVA is a cost effective, easy, and high resolution technique.•To detect the presence of TEM and SHV resistance genes, conventional PCR was performed.•Approximately 80% and 70% of strains carried the TEM and SHV resistance genes, respectively.
