摘要
•Commensal bifidobacteria inhibit the NF-κB-mediated transcriptional activation of metabolic disorder-causing factors(IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α).•They interfere with the Wnt/β - catenin pathway, which positively regulates NF-κB activity.•The ultimate result is cellular triglyceride reduction with a simultaneous increase of cellular consumption of energy-yielding substrates.
