摘要

•The first natural glucoside of phenanthroindolizidine type alkaloid was isolated.•This alkaloid glucoside showed more potent HIF-1 inhibitory effect than digoxin.•Glucosylation could enhance cancer cell inhibitory selectivity in vitro.
