摘要
To investigate the effect of PRR11 on gene expression in esophageal carcinoma cells and its regulation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). PRR11 siRNA and control siRNA were transfected into esophageal cancer cells, and its mRNA expression was detected by qRT-PCR. The mRNA and protein expression of EMT-related proteins E-cadherin, vimentin, Snail, Twist, and Slug in esophageal cancer cell lines (EC109, EC9706, TE-1, and SEG-1) was detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. The results shown that the expression of PRR11 was inhibited after siRNA transfection. Knockdown of PRR11 suppressed proliferation and migration of esophageal cancer cells. PRR11 silencing induced esophageal cancer cell apoptosis. Transfection with PRR11 siRNA significantly upregulated expression of E-cadherin and markedly downregulated levels of vimentin, Snail, Twist, and Slug.
