A workflow to generate physical 3D models of cerebral aneurysms applying open source freeware for CAD modeling and 3D printing

•3D stereolitographic models are a new frontier for surgical planning and training in cerebral aneurysms treatment.•Our 3D aneurysms models have been evaluated as reliable and useful from neurosurgeons who experienced their use.•Stereolitography still presents long times for production. We reduced them making models available on daily needs.
