Electrocardiographic, endocrine and biochemical stress indices of electroejaculated Egyptian Baladi goat bucks

•Normal ECG values with reference ranges of the Egyptian Baladi goat bucks were determined.•Electroejaculation (EE) induced sinus tachycardia with changes in waves, amplitudes and durations denoting cardiac stress.•Cortisol, P4, testosterone, cardiac troponin I, glucose, sodium, potassium and triglycerides levels were affected by EE.•The marked increase in HR indices and cortisol between the first and last weeks might indicate lack of habituation to EE.
