Verhaltensuntersuchungen zum Fisch-schutz und Fischabstieg am Seilrechen

According to the current state of the art, horizontal bar racks with bar spacings from 10 to 15 mm are recommended to protect fish from a turbine passage and guide them to a bypass. For medium and large hydropower plants, these solutions are technically and economically not feasible so far, resulting in a lack of knowledge for efficient and adequate fish protection and downstream migration solutions. This paper presents the results from ethohydraulic experiments carried out on a new developed fish protection and guidance system, called the Flexible Fish Fence.
