Global active control of harmonic noise in a vibro-acoustic cavity using Modal FxLMS algorithm

•Experimental validation of global active noise control using Modal FxLMS algorithm is carried out.•Experimental study on a rectangular box vibro-acoustic cavity under the presence of acoustic and structural distrubances using one and two control loudspeakers is presented.•Modal secondary paths are experimentally identified.•Modal control at a cavity-controlled and a panel-controlled resonance is presented.•Modal control with different choices of modes under control is carried out.
