The Mutual Control Of Raman Laser And Vibration Of Micro-Resonator By Optomechanics

We present a hybrid Raman-optomechanics model for exploring the mutual control of Raman laser and the vibration mode of micro-resonator by optomechanics, in which the Raman laser is modelled as the interaction between the optical mode in the micro-resonator and the molecular vibration of the material. We observe on the one side that the sidebands of the mechanical vibration of the micro-resonator can be stimulated when the system is driven into the Raman-laser regime, while this mechanical sideband cannot be observed if the system is below the threshold of the Raman laser, i.e., the system is out of the Raman laser regime. On the other hand, we find that the Raman laser or even high-order Raman-laser sideband can be stimulated when the vibration mode of the micro-resonator is stimulated. It is also shown that the frequency of the Raman laser can be controlled by tuning the parameter of the mechanical mode of the resonator, such as the frequency or damping rate of the mechanical mode. Our study opens up new dimension of research such as the control of Raman laser by optomechanics and the control of the mechanical motion of the micro-resonator by optical modulation.
