Phase Modulated MM-Wave Radars in Advanced CMOS Technology

This paper addresses the key elements of MIMO Phase Modulated Continuous Wave radars presenting a 2x2 MIMO radar SoC in 28 nm CMOS technology. The IC, integrated with an antenna module, only requires supply, a crystal oscillator reference and an FPGA with LVDS interface to achieve 7.5 cm range resolution on a 90 by 20 degrees scanning angle.
