Bioassay-guided isolation of lignanamides with potential anti-inflammatory effect from the roots of Solanum melongena L

•Three new lignanamides were isolated from the roots of Solanum melongena L.•These structures were identified on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis.•Anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated for the isolated compounds.
