Relative soil water content as a factor for wind erodibility in soils with different texture and aggregation

•The critical relative soil water content (HRc) depends on soil type and wind velocity.•HRc values were lower in fine than in coarse textured soils.•Sandy loam soils with different organic matter contents present different HRc value.•HRc was negatively related to micro-aggregation.
