摘要
In remote detection of bistatic sonar, horizontal line arrays (HLA) are often used in underwater environments to detect/ separate a weak target echo and estimate its direction of arrival from interference of direct blast and ambient noise. However, conventional beamforming(CBF) is robust but suffers from fat beamwidth and high-level sidelobes, which causes awful spatial resolution and terrible detection of a weak signal. Therefore, for improving performance of CBF, a deconvolution algorithm is proposed. Meanwhile, for achieving weak target echo interfered by direct blast, a null constraint technique is put forward. Computer simulation indicates the deconvolved beam power yields narrower beams and lower sidelobe levels better than the CBF; At the same time, direct blast gets well suppressed at its direction by use of null constraint technique.
