摘要
Future sea level changes are a threat to coastal communities worldwide. Therefore, reliable methods for the reconstruction of past relative sea-level variations are essential to make predictions of future developments. Beachrocks are a widely distributed indicator of Quaternary paleo-coastlines, with a high potential for preservation. Nevertheless, their use as sea-level indicator faces challenges in the determination of the exact elevation of beachrock formation with respect to paleo sea level. This information is crucial to the establishment of a sea-level index point.
