摘要
•A solar thermochemical cycle based on GeO2/Ge is proposed for syngas production.•CH4:GeO2 ratio of 2 is beneficial for producing nonvolatile Ge.•H2O:Ge ratio of 8:1 is found abundant enough to ensure complete recovery of Ge.•Isothermal and nonisothermal solar thermochemical cycles are compared.
