摘要

•Heterologous epoxide hydrolase (EH) was expressed in R. ruber for the first time.•Thermostability of EH in R. ruber cells was 10-fold higher than that of E.coli.•EH in R. ruber showed high tolerance against alkali pH and toxic compounds.
