The purpose of this paper is to share the ideas and experiences that California Polytechnic University (Cal Poly) has created to address high priority technology and cybersecurity gaps identified by the current work shortage of cyber professionals, as well as preparing the public sector to defend itself against critical infrastructure attacks as identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
