Design of Three-Dimensional Frequency Selective Structure with Large Stop-Band and Stable Angle of Incidence

In this paper we designed a new three-dimensional frequency selective structure (3D-FSS) which has better properties than 2-D frequency selective surface (2D-FSS) in some places. The proposed structure provides stability for angle of incidence within 60 degrees and exhibits excellent frequency response, which can cover very large stop-band range from X-band to K-band while transmits well at low frequency. Our design based on the periodic arrangement of rectangular metal patch miniaturized unit cell, and we investigated the influence of several major structural parameters on its properties. The stopband of designed 3D-FSS can be adjustable to various applications by changing mentioned key parameters. Simulation at different parameters and the results have been done.
